  I've had Dr. Davis do two implants after failures by my dentist and a specialist who is very good with root canals. When I had problems with a third tooth after a crown that quickly became infected, I decided to short-circuit the process and go straight to Shawn. He worked me in the same day, removed the bad (broken) tooth very carefully to avoid damaging the bone, and put the implant base in the same day, shaving months off the healing process. Within a day, the tooth and jaw felt vastly better. Pain gone. Zero. No pain at all after 48 hours. They always offer prescription for pain meds to cover you for a few days, but I never need them with Shawn. His work is that good. That is one of the hallmarks of a real expert. They simply do less damage and the healing process proceeds rapidly. And when they do the implant, they get it right. The angles are perfect. The results are superb. Shawn Davis is arguably one of the best oral surgeons in Utah (not just southern Utah). His staff is wonderful. The results of the previous two implants were so good that I simply didn't hesitate to get another. (Getting older is interesting. Some teeth aren't worth saving when an excellent replacement option exists.) I can't recommend Shawn too highly. If you have a problem, don't hesitate. Just get in to see Shawn and get it done right. It will be worth every penny.

  They billed my old EMI account instead of my husband's when he had a tooth extracted. We communicated, I discovered the problem, and they promptly sent a new bill. After that was fixed, they charged us for services our dentist rendered, and they also charged us for services they didn't submit to our insurance. At this time, they have acknowledged they were charging for services the dentist performed ($450), but we have not yet resolved $281 of charges not submitted to insurance. The extraction and implant seem to be great. The billing is horrendous.
